Doctor or Allied Health

Our clinicians can refer you to another doctor or to an allied health professional as part of your telehealth consultation, where clinically appropriate. Referrals to dietetics, exercise physiology and psychology are included with your consult.

  • AHPRA-registered clinicians
  • Telehealth, Australia-wide
  • Use any Australian pharmacy you choose

All clinical outcomes depend on your individual circumstances. Emintell Hub does not guarantee any particular health outcome. Your clinician will discuss realistic expectations during your consultation.

Telehealth is not suitable for all health concerns. Your practitioner may recommend in-person assessment, urgent care, GP review, a referral to another doctor, further investigation or no treatment depending on your circumstances.

What to expect

What to expect from your consultation.

  1. During Your Consult

Your clinician assesses your situation and works out which referral is clinically appropriate. They will explain the reasoning and what to expect from the referred appointment.

  2. Receiving Your Referral

Your referral is sent electronically via email or your patient portal. You can present it at your chosen provider anywhere in Australia.

  3. Follow-Up and Coordination

After that appointment, a follow-up telehealth consult allows your clinician to review the feedback, adjust your care plan and keep your care consistent.

Referrals are a normal part of clinical care. Your clinician may find that you would benefit from allied health support or a review by another doctor. Where clinically appropriate, they can issue the referral during your telehealth consultation. There is no extra cost beyond your consult fee.

You might need a dietitian for your nutrition, an exercise physiologist for rehabilitation, a psychologist for mental health care, or another doctor for further investigation. The process is the same in each case. Your clinician explains the reasoning, issues the referral electronically and fits it into your broader care plan. Follow-up telehealth appointments allow your clinician to review the feedback from the referred provider and adjust your care.

All referrals are issued at the clinical discretion of your treating clinician based on your personal health profile.
